Soften, Soothe & Allow Meditation

Today we have a guest meditation with Kristin Neff called Soften, Soothe, Allow.

This practice is very helpful in supporting you to bring more self-compassion to stressful times and difficult emotions. Try it and see what you discover.

SELF COMPASSION SELF-INQUIRY

Take five minutes and reflect on the following questions. Write down the answers in your journal.

How do you nurture and care for your body? (eg. massages, walks, cooking, healthy food)

One thing you will do this week to bring more kindness and compassion to your body is….

How do you nurture and care for your mind? (eg. perhaps it is through stimulation with a good book, meditation, making time to share what's on your mind with a friend or coach, get more sleep)

One thing you will do this week to bring more kindness and compassion to your mind is…. 

How do your nurture and care for your relationships? (eg. cook a friend dinner, host a dinner party, write a friend a letter of gratitude for no reason, celebrate a friend’s success)

One thing you will do this week to bring more kindness and compassion to your relationships is….

How do you nurture and care for your soul? (eg. what do you love to do that makes you feel most alive – dancing, bushwalking, camping, listening to music)

One thing you will do this week to bring more kindness and compassion to your soul is ….
