Day Five
A New Meditation
Relax

This meditation is a 15 minute practice,

with an extra 5 mins of silence at the end in case you’d like to explore practising in silence on your own or simply lying and relaxing in the post meditation calm. There is a final bell at the 20 minute mark so you know when the time is up.

You will notice there is more silence towards the end of the practice and this is a chance for you to start to explore what it feels like to be your own guide.

Try it out and see how it goes. If you are new to meditation this will likely be too challenging for you right now, but you can always come back to this towards the end of the program.

“You must learn to be still in the midst of activity and to be vibrantly alive in repose.”
~ Indira Gandhi

Starting a meditation practice can be like beginning a whole body detox.

It takes a while to settle into relaxation and overcome the feelings of restlessness that can arise. How was your meditation practice yesterday? What are the biggest obstacles getting in your way?

Today we have a NEW meditation. This one is one of my personal favourites. It’s called RELAX.

The RELAX meditation is a longer meditation which focuses on supporting you to relax the body in order to help you relax your mind.

Many of us rush through the day and usually don’t even notice the tension that accumulates in the body. These days, being able to relax is a skill that we need to practice.

You’ll notice as you get better at actively relaxing the body and letting go of tension, you will also get better at letting go of the worries, plans and repetitive thoughts that spin around in your mind.
